Garden romance
A garden-inspired celebration filled with soft florals, candlelight, and a long-table dinner beneath the evening sky.
The Story
Every celebration begins with a feeling. For Charlotte and Ethan, it was the hush of a late-June evening in the Hudson Valley, when the light turns soft and the garden smells of roses and cut grass.
They wanted their guests to feel as though they had been invited to a summer supper at a friend’s country home: relaxed, generous, and full of conversation.
The Vision
The creative direction brought together blush and ivory florals, aged linen, hand-thrown ceramics, and the walled garden of a private estate. Each element was chosen to feel connected rather than over-styled.
A single long table ran the length of the lawn, lit by more than three hundred taper candles and strings of café lights overhead.
The Details
Every element, considered.
Venue and atmosphere: a private walled-garden estate with an open lawn and orchard
Florals and tablescape: garden roses, sweet peas, and trailing jasmine along one long table
Ceremony design: a floral arch framed by the old stone wall
Guest experience: welcome lemonade, printed menus, and a late-night pie bar
Lighting, music, and finishing touches: candlelight, string lights, and a jazz trio at sunset
